How to Measure Your Nail Size at Home

Getting the right size is everything — a perfectly fitted press-on lasts up to 2 weeks and looks like a salon manicure. Here are two easy methods to measure at home in under 5 minutes.

📏 Method 1 — Tape Method

Place clear tape over your nail, pressing it flat against the entire surface.

Press the sides firmly and crease the tape at both edges of the nail.

Mark both sides with a fine-tipped pen at the widest point of your nail.

Remove the tape gently and press it flat on a clean, hard surface.

Measure in mm from pen mark to pen mark using a ruler — that's your size!

🪙 Method 2 — Coin Method

No tape? No problem! Use a 10-paisa coin as a quick size reference.

Thumb: Hold the coin next to your thumb. Coin width = approx. Size M for that finger.

Index & Middle: Compare coin edge to your nail width. Wider than coin = Size L or XL.

Ring & Pinky: These are usually narrower — compare carefully against half the coin width.

Common measurement mistakes

Measuring at the cuticle, not the widest point. The widest point is where the press-on actually sits — that's where you measure.
Skipping fingers. Send all 10 measurements, not just the thumb. Each hand differs from the other too.
Measuring after using hand cream. Skin can swell slightly. Measure dry, clean, room-temperature hands.
Approximating in cm. Use millimetres for accuracy — 1cm difference means 4 sizes off.

How to measure nail size with a coin?

Hold a 10-paisa coin against your thumb nail at the widest point. If the coin is wider than your nail, you are likely a size XS or S. If they match, size M. If your nail is wider than the coin, size L or XL. Repeat for each finger and DM us a photo so we can verify the fit.
